The NBSO is proud to partner with The Z to present this special, FREE event!

Internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso Roberto Plano will perform classics of the solo piano repertoire by Liszt, Villa Lobos, Ginastera, and Gershwin, including the incomparable American masterpiece, Rhapsody in Blue.

Roberto Plano was the First Prize Winner at the 2001 Cleveland International Piano Competition; Prize Winner at the Honens, Dublin, Sendai, Geza Anda, and Valencia Competitions; and Finalist at the 2005 Van Cliburn, in addition to having won First Prizes in several National Competitions in Italy. In September 2016, Roberto joined the faculty of Boston University College of Fine Arts, and he and his family now call Massachusetts their home. The NBSO is thrilled to have our friend—and superb pianist—within such close proximity! Roberto will also appear later this season as the featured guest artist in the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra’s season finale concert, Pardon My French.
