Please note that the Box Office opens 2 hours prior to NBSO performances. Will Call tickets may be picked up at the Box Office until one hour prior to a performance; after that, please pick up Will Call tickets at the Will Call window. Theater doors open one-half hour prior to performances. The theater is committed to accessibility; for information on available services or to arrange assistance with arrival, please contact The Z box office at 508-994-2900. Parking is available in the adjacent municipal garage; the driveway entrance is located at the back of the building on Acushnet Ave.

Parking at The Zeiterion Garage

The City of New Bedford – which owns, operates, and maintains the parking garage at The Zeiterion – now charges all users of the Parking Garage. Regular daily parking rates, including weekends and evenings, are $3.00/hour or $18.00/day. A special $4.00 CASH ONLY event rate is available for Zeiterion performances.

Event Parking | Special Rate

Parking is available in the Zeiterion Garage at a flat rate of $4. Parking attendants will be collecting CASH ONLY upon entrance from 6pm-8pm, and the exit gate will be open for departure. Parking is also available on the streets.

Non-event Parking

The new self-serve system requires drivers to take a ticket when entering the garage. When ready to leave, drivers will use that same ticket to pay for parking at one of two kiosks located at the Purchase Street pedestrian entrance or near the garage entrance on Acushnet Ave. Both kiosks require the driver to pay before getting into the car. Once drivers pay at the kiosk, they receive another ticket to raise the gate when driving out. There will not be an attendant at the gate.

For questions about the Parking Garage, please contact the City Traffic Commission at 508-979-1766.
